Twitter is finally giving its users the new feature they have most requested - an edit button.
"If you see an edited Tweet, it's because we're testing the edit button. It's occurring, but you'll be fine "The business tweeted.
It is currently testing the feature and will roll it out in the coming weeks to subscribers of Twitter Blue, which costs $4.99 (£4.33) per month.
A few times throughout the first 30 minutes after posting, tweets will be available for editing.
The initial tests of Twitter Blue will only be conducted in the country in which it is now
available, along with the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
According to Twitter, tweeting will feel more approachable and less stressful.
"We'll keep working on methods to make it feel natural to do precisely that so that you may join in the conversation in a way that makes sense to you.
The co-founder and former CEO of the company had previously stated that an edit button was unlikely to ever be offered.
However, Elon Musk ran a Twitter poll in April with the intention of purchasing the business, and 73.6% of the 4.4 million respondents stated they desired one.
However, some claim it is superfluous or goes against the spirit of the platform.
